This is a legitimate question. I know that there are a tremendous number of changes going on from New York to California. Covid has forever altered our country. The elections of 2020 have brought about tremendous changes. The new census numbers have brought about changes in congress. We see changes taking place on our college campuses and the rise of social justice warriors. We see changes taking place in how we look at male and female roles in this country as our youth decide that being born one sex or the other has given way to choosing what sex to be. WE see changes in the tax codes as government pushes to collect more and more money to redistribute as they see fit. We see changes in the roll of government in society as the politicians work to reconstruct the way we live. We are experiencing changes in our border policies as the country is being flooded with immigrants. Our government has changed its attitude towards China and Iran where once we considered them enemies, we are now falling all over ourselves to be friends. State and local governments are taking a hostile approach to law enforcement and are working to dismantle these necessary institutions. In short, the America we live in today is not the America of even 10 years ago. We talk about culture wars and making America great again and yet, it seems that we are continuing towards a downward trajectory that is gaining speed every day. Many feel a growing frustration and desire to try to return to our former days when America stood for something and people possessed common sense and the whole country was a more peaceful and tranquil place to live in. So, I am raising the question, is it possible to turn back and reverse these changes? Can we save America?
I tend to be an optimist in general. I have been known to beat a dead horse out of shear confidence that I can “make ‘er get up and go”. I believe that anything is possible if one is willing to work hard enough. I believe that things always seem to work out if you just keep a positive attitude. As a Christian, I believe that all things work together for good to those who are called according to His purposes in Christ Jesus. But lately, I have been thinking that all that may not be enough to save America. Let me explain. I believe God has been good to this nation and the people that founded its first government. I believe that generations all through the years have been blessed by the greatness of this country and its foundation of principles and laws that were established over 250 years ago. We have enjoyed unparalleled freedoms that no other nation in history have experienced as we have. We have been the world’s peacekeepers. I believe that God has brought revival at various times in our history to call us back to “the righteous path”. I believe that America can be renewed from generation to generation. I believe that America has the potential to turn back…with one exception! It may be that the generation before the coming Tribulation may be the one exception to saving America. You see, the Tribulation represents the global takeover of a one world leader. To accomplish that America would have be made ready to come under that leadership. That would mean that our Constitutional way of life, our freedoms and our Biblical foundation would have to be eroded to the point that we could be subjugated to a new world order. In short, things would have to change from what they used to be.
I will take the opportunity to blog about America and the coming Tribulation in the future, but for now, I would simply like to say this; I think that it is important to stand up for things that are right and true. I will continue to make my voice heard and speak my mind concerning my convictions about what truly makes America great and which way we should be going. I will continue to stand for the Bible and the gospel of Jesus Christ as the only hope for individuals. But I do believe that we may be in the twilight of this age and America may not survive the changes that will take her into a dark future. I am thinking that it may be too late to save her, but I can work to tell others about God’s saving grace. So, I have decided to set my sights on the coming Kingdom of Jesus Christ. I have done all I can to hold back the darkness. I can not stop the changes…America, this may be a sad farewell!
