It was only a mere 18 months ago that life was moving along normally without any real hiccups. Then, without warning, Covid-19 came into our lives. It was tragic to watch a world that was not prepared to handle to crisis that followed. Medical science was unprepared to understand what to make of the new virus. Governments were at a lose to come up with adequate plans and how to implement them. The media was truly complicit in spreading the fear about the virus. It amazes me that with the US’s intelligence capability, we could not find out with certainty that the virus was leaked from a Chinese lab. To top it off, the conflict and competition of agencies to control the information about the virus, each criticizing or contradicting the other. Now with the vaccine, there appears to be debate about the efficacy as well as the necessity for the vaccine considering the growing pressure that all must take the “jab”.

I think that things would have been different if the medical world had they been united in their efforts to study the virus and take into account all the combined efforts to combat the disease early on. That would include the medical reports on all the different methods that were tried to treat the illness. Instead, doctors reporting on the effectiveness of Ivermectin, and other medications were squashed in favor of running full ahead with a vaccine. If our own government had put all the intelligence efforts to work and made full disclosure of where the virus came from, I think things would have turned out differently. If the media had taken responsibility for their actions and did better factual reporting and not sensationalizing things, we would have been better off. In addition, the grandstanding of our political parties to gain the upper hand in how to best take care of our country and our people was all but apparent. But alas, the milk is spilled, the damage is done, the mistakes were made and here we are. Is it any wonder that people are so upset as to what to believe and who to trust?

There is no doubt that some are expressing a growing suspicion about where things are going. If I don’t take the jab, I am the only one at risk. If someone has taken the vaccine, they can still transmit the virus, so where is the protection? Only to the one vaccinated. The virus is still out there and moving around. It might surprise you to know that in the last 18 months over 600,000 people have died from Covid. Did you know that 5.25 million babies were born? This disease is not ravaging our population. Did you know that 80% of those that died were over 65 and were already at risk with other ailments? If the facts were put forth with honesty and in a different manner, I think that people would have responded differently about taking the vaccine, but we now see a tremendous amount of government pressure to make sure that everyone complies with the mandate to be vaccinated. Why all the pressure?

I might have my own reasons for not taking the vaccine yet, but I am more apprehensive over the growing government mandate that everyone will be taking this, like it or not. I tried to go to Google and get an opposing viewpoint and some differing information. Google has scrubbed their site and I could not find one article siting reasons to not take the jab. YouTube is being scrubbed also, as is Twitter. Why? Now I’m thinking that I shouldn’t take the jab just because the government is trying to force me to. Why? In the end, the vaccine may be somewhat safe (notwithstanding side effects in some) as well as able to hold down the virus to a level that one can recover without going to the hospital. But I am more concerned about complying with the government pressure to do what they say without question. Today, it’s take the jab, because we say it’s best for all. Tomorrow, it’s pay more taxes because we need to give some of your money to those who don’t work and need it. Tomorrow, you can’t own gold or silver because it’s selfish and unfair. Tomorrow, you will trade in your paper dollars for digital currency, so no one can cheat the government or hide monetary assets. Tomorrow, the government will demand total allegiance without question to do whatever they wish in the best interest of all. In short, I think we are not seeing a concern for the health and well being of our country, but the beginning of the iron fist of government over the populace.
