Many people out there are aware of the phrase, “Mark of the Beast”. It represents the idea of not being able to buy or sell without taking some kind of mark to indicate that you are a member in good standing and able to function within the economy. I am witness to 50 years of speculation as to what the mark will be. I am convinced that almost everyone who tries to figure that out has missed the true implication of the passage in Revelation. Just imagine what it would mean to not be able to buy or sell. It would mean that you could not buy gas for your car. You could not buy groceries. You could not pay your bills or make a mortgage payment. The banks would be off limits to you. You would not be able to get a repairman to come out to fix your appliances or furnace. You would not be able to get a paycheck or have a bank account. You would not be able to use your credit card or bill pay system online. Of course, the “preppers” say that you do not need all that if you are prepared. Well, you could hold out for a little while. But, at some point, you may need major medical or dental work that would be outside the scoop of most “preppers” abilities. Most of all, you would not be able to pay your taxes on the property you are hunkering down on. I guess the whole point is that no matter what you do, you can not escape the fact that you will need to be able to use money to live under the government that will impose such measures.
As our world is changing at an incredible rate, the economy is now showing signs of tremendous stress. Our government is printing money and handing it out hand over fist. Super low interest rates are leading to debt over-load with no repayment plan. The value of the dollar is dropping as inflation is hitting all time highs. House prices are out of sight as we are flooded with pulsing shortages at all levels. The stock market is so high that it can give you nosebleed and there is no reason or value to its pricing. Many of the lower income families are in desperate straits. Unemployment is high and there is an over-whelming number of people that just do not want to work. Businesses are suffering financial ruin from the Covid shut down. In short, our financial world is on the brink of massive failure. All of this is thought by some to be purposeful in pushing society to accept a new form of currency to replace a failing dollar. This new currency will probably be a digital coin issued and controlled by the Federal Reserve. It will be instituted “for our benefit and good of all” and you will not be allowed to opt out. The paper and metal dollars will simply be outlawed and that will be that. There are those who have suggested that with the new currency will come an avalanche of government regulations. Hence, those that are aware of the connection to the Bible’s warnings and the manifestation of this new digital currency are afraid that they will be somehow taking the Mark of the Beast.
Well, I have some good news for those who might be panicking about all that. You see, the Scripture reference is made from the standpoint that this will be a worldwide closed system of economics to control everyone under the one world leader, the antichrist. In truth, we, as Christians, may very well see the beginnings of such a system from a national standpoint. We may very well be forced to carry a digital wallet in which to carry our digital coins to be able to buy and sell. We may very well be required to have our digital wallets to access our bank accounts or credit card accounts, to buy gas and food and pay our bills and receive our paychecks or social security checks and retirement monies. That world may be here in the next year or two. I believe that because it is on a national level and not an international level, it would mean we are not in the Tribulation. It is a fine distinction but a distinction, nevertheless. You may witness the beginning of the system that will be used to enslave the whole world. It may come nation by nation at first, but be assured, it will swallow up the whole world. We are close to the end of this age and the return of Jesus Christ, but don’t be alarmed nor dismayed and do not be fooled by the things that are happening, the leaves are certainly showing what season we are in, but we are not in the Tribulation. One thing is for sure, as people slowly accept these changes, they will go about their business and things will change and a new level of acceptance will slowly come in, and as it was in the days of Noah so will it be in the days of the coming of the Son of Man, they were eating and drinking till the rains fell!!!
