I can not help but wonder why there is so much interest in the Tribulation these days. Its not that people are not aware that the Bible talks about the Tribulation and gives us some details, but it is more the fact that I think today, people are getting super-obsessed with the details. When I was in Bible college, my professors would emphatically point out that there are not any prophesies that have to take place before Jesus returns for believers at the Rapture. Today, there are many people claiming to have information on the latest fulfilment of prophecy pointing to the Rapture. As if that were not enough, there are countless people claiming to have dreams that God gave them with information about the return of Jesus. Now that Israel is being attacked by Hamas, countless more people are trying to figure out if this is the battle of Gog and Magog taking place. I have not heard so many verses of Scripture being quoted about the end times since my Jesus freak days reading Hal Lindsey’s book The Late, Great, Planet Earth!
For the most part, most Christians believe that they will not be present for the Tribulation. We might see some of the pre-cursors, but we will not be here for the pouring out of God’s wrath on the antichrist and his followers. So, my question is, why aren’t we more interested in the coming Kingdom of Jesus Christ? Why aren’t we interested in what is going to happen after the Tribulation? Why aren’t we talking about what we will be doing for 1000 years during the reign of Jesus Christ on the Earth? Why aren’t we talking about those details? Would it surprise you to know that there are more verses about the Millennial Kingdom than about the Tribulation? Why aren’t we super-obsessed with knowing everything we can about what our Savior will doing for 1000 years? What about the people who survive the Tribulation? What about the people who will live to the end of the 1000 years? What will that world look like? Will there be electricity? Will there be technology? Will anything survive out of the Tribulation of the world we know now, or will it all go away?
To tell the truth, there are not a lot of books about the Kingdom. Some of the ones that I have read are more scholastic in nature as it compares to millennialism and the church. Heady stuff. So, I took it upon myself to gather the information and details about the coming Kingdom of Jesus Christ and put them in an easy-to-read book titled, When the Kingdom Comes from Global Chaos to Eden. I would like to encourage anyone who has an interest in the Tribulation, to take that interest and turn it towards learning about the last 1000 years of human history and your part in it as a glorified, resurrected, raptured believer. In this way, you can “tune in” to what Jesus is going to be doing after the end of the Tribulation. You won’t want to miss it!!!
